The vines used to produce this wine are Barbera and Bonarda, cultivated with the simple Guyot training system. After harvesting, the grapes are softly pressed and then left to macerate at a controlled temperature of 23°C for 10 days; this is followed by a short maturation and bottling during the first months of the year.
When poured, it has a brilliant ruby red color of good intensity. The nose releases a large bouquet characterized by spicy aromas. The sip is pleasantly soft and structured, with perceptions of leather and licorice.
It is recommended to combine it with soups, it is also perfect with roasted or stewed red meats, and with aged cheeses.
