The splendid hills of Piacenza have been home to vines since very ancient times: there are numerous documents that testify to the presence of crops and the production of wines dating back to two thousand years ago. The long winemaking tradition of these lands has been extensively refined and perfectly perfected over the centuries.
In Val D'Arda we find the La Ratta company with its 10 hectares of vineyards. Gutturnio still comes from grapes from 55% Barbera and 45% Bonarda vines.
In the glass you can admire its intense red color with purple reflections.
The nose perceives a particularly intense but at the same time delicate aroma with a decisive note of red fruit jam and morello cherry in alcohol.
The taste is decidedly dry, rather savory with hints of almond and a slight aroma of violet which accompanies well-ripe red fruits.
An important wine that perfectly accompanies tasty meat dishes and aged cheeses.
