The Pareto Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 from Tenuta di Nozzole, offered in magnum format and presented in a wooden case, is a mature Toscana IGT bottling by Folonari. In the glass it shows a ruby color tending toward garnet; on the nose there are notes of ripe dark fruits, light spicy nuances and earthy hints, with a complex yet balanced aromatic profile. The structure is full, the tannins are smooth while retaining good presence, and the acidity supports the sip without being intrusive. It is important to consider variables related to age and storage when assessing a bottle of this vintage.

It is best served at a controlled temperature and decanted if desired to release further aromas; it pairs with flavorful red meats, game with moderate flavors and aged cheeses. The magnum format favors slower maturation and provides a striking service at the table; the wooden case helps transport and storage. To evaluate an individual bottle, it is advisable to check the integrity of the bottle and the condition of the closure.

In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
