La Forra Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2004 from Tenuta di Nozzole (Folonari) is a vintage bottle showing the effects of time. In the glass it displays an evolved ruby color; on the nose there are aromas of ripe fruit and tertiary notes recalling undergrowth, delicate spices and hints of leather, without excess. The structure is compact and the balance between acidity and tannins appears well integrated, with a long finish that invites a slow, reflective tasting.

Suitable with traditional dishes and hearty preparations, it is recommended to serve at moderate temperature and, if possible, to uncork a few hours in advance to encourage the opening of aromas. The wooden case suggests a careful presentation and is also appropriate for those looking to store the wine in the cellar with attention to light and temperature conditions. No further production details are provided here.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
