The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2003 from Tenuta la Fuga - Folonari is a mature red wine showing balance and depth, the result of extended bottle aging. On the nose it offers aromas recalling ripe fruit, earthy notes and hints of sweet spices; on the palate it is enveloping, with well-integrated tannins and measured persistence. It's a label that calls for attentive tasting and is better suited to reflective enjoyment than hasty consumption.

Pairs with dishes of the Tuscan tradition, structured red meats, game and aged cheeses; recommended with dry, flavorful preparations. Store in a cool place, away from light and heat sources; open a few hours in advance to allow the wine to express itself fully. Delivery in a wooden case also makes it suitable as a gift or for collectors; Tenuta la Fuga - Folonari ensures a neat presentation.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
