Brunello di Montalcino DOCG from the 2004 vintage offered by Tenuta la Fuga for Folonari, presented in a wooden case. This is a bottle carrying the DOCG denomination and reflects a maturation over time: the label and packaging suggest a wine intended for storage or for selected occasions. The wooden case highlights the care of the offering without adding technical details that are not declared here.

In the glass it shows a mature texture, with hints of dark-fleshed fruit, subtle earthy notes and a tannic framework that appears balanced for its age. The finish tends toward good persistence without excess. It suits pairings with characterful dishes or moments of wine contemplation; if desired, a short decanting can help its aromatic opening. Specific information on production method and aging is not stated on this sheet.

Approximately 250 hectares of vineyards across the company’s estates. Declared production of approximately 1.2 million bottles. A wine portfolio featuring typical labels from the Veneto and Tuscany.
Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
