The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2020 from Tenuta la Fuga - Folonari presents a composed, measured personality, the product of careful winemaking. Deep ruby in color with garnet highlights, it offers an aromatic profile that balances ripe fruit notes with spicy accents and subtle balsamic hints, maintaining a sober and pleasant tone.

On the palate it shows structure and tension: tannins are present but well integrated, supporting a generous body and a persistent finish. Notes of red fruit and a slight earthy touch emerge on the sip; the balance invites slow tasting. It is advisable to open the bottle in advance and serve it at a temperature slightly cooler than room temperature. It pairs well with meat dishes, game and aged cheeses, as well as traditional recipes that call for a wine with character.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
