The Rosso di Montalcino DOC from Tenuta la Fuga - Folonari presents a restrained, pleasant profile, intended for those seeking a well-crafted everyday wine. The color shows light ruby reflections; on the nose there are hints of ripe red fruit, subtle floral nuances and a touch of delicate spice. On the palate the structure is balanced, with well-integrated tannins and a freshness that keeps the drinking experience flowing. Intensity remains moderate: the sip is immediate without being trivial, and the clean, dry finish invites a second glass.

Versatile in use, it pairs with savory starters, cured meats, pasta with light meat sauces and medium-bodied cheeses. It suits informal dinners and family meals, as well as anyone looking for a quality bottle for everyday use. Serve at a moderate temperature (around 16–18 °C) and open a few minutes beforehand to allow the aromas to unfold. Consumption within a few years is recommended to appreciate its primary freshness.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
