La Pietra Chardonnay Toscana IGT 1986 is a bottle offered by Tenute del Cabreo in collaboration with Folonari, presented in magnum format and packaged in a wooden case. The label clearly states the Toscana IGT designation and the Chardonnay grape variety, with vintage 1986; the magnum format and the wooden case make this lot interesting for collectors and for those seeking a mature bottle to taste slowly. Product details should be checked with the seller before purchase to verify storage conditions and cork integrity.

In the glass it may show signs of age with deeper hues; on the nose, evolved aromas may be appreciated, requiring a slow and focused tasting. On the palate, it is advisable to assess balance and remaining freshness: wines of this age can display mature components yet still be pleasant if properly stored. Serve at a cool but not cold temperature, and pair, depending on the bottle’s condition, with flavorful fish dishes, white meats or medium-matured cheeses.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
