La Pietra Chardonnay Toscana IGT 2001 in magnum format, offered by Tenute del Cabreo for Folonari, is a white wine notable for its presentation: each bottle is supplied in a wooden case and shows the marks of the natural evolution of the 2001 vintage. The magnum format, together with extended storage, requires care when assessing individual bottles; it is therefore recommended to check the label and cork condition before purchase and to consider appropriate transport and storage.

On the nose one can notice aromas of ripe white-fleshed fruit, light notes of dried flowers and a touch of development that results in rounder scents. On the palate it presents a full structure, a balance between softer elements and residual freshness, and a sustained finish. It pairs well with more structured fish dishes, flavorful white meats and soft cheeses; serve slightly chilled, around 10–12 °C, and open in advance to allow the bottle to express itself.

Approximately 250 hectares of vineyards across the company’s estates. Declared production of approximately 1.2 million bottles. A wine portfolio featuring typical labels from the Veneto and Tuscany.
Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
