La Pietra Chardonnay Toscana IGT 2006 from Tenute del Cabreo - Folonari is a white wine with clear personality. In the glass it shows a straw-yellow color with slight maturity; on the nose there are aromas of white-fleshed fruit, citrus and floral notes, together with subtle evolved nuances that reflect its vintage. On the palate it is balanced, with lively acidity and a pleasant persistence that highlights the fruity impressions without ever being overpowering. The texture is smooth, offering a good balance between substance and freshness and a moderately saline finish.

Serve at around 10–12 °C; it pairs well with fish dishes, shellfish, poultry and soft cheeses. It suits both informal tastings and more structured menus. Presented in a wooden case, it is also suitable as a gift for special occasions. Store in a cool, dark place; check the condition of the bottle and closure when purchasing, given the characteristics of the 2006 vintage.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
