La Pietra Chardonnay Toscana IGT 2007 from Tenute del Cabreo for Folonari shows a restrained profile. Straw-yellow with golden highlights, it opens on the nose with notes of white-fleshed fruit, ripe citrus and light floral hints; on the palate it offers balanced body, well-calibrated acidity and a saline thread that supports the drink. The expression is measured and reflects the typical evolution of a vintage white, without relying on undocumented technical descriptions.

Ideal with baked fish, shellfish and dishes based on chicken or mushrooms, it best expresses delicate flavours and light sauces. Recommended serving temperature around 10–12 °C; open shortly before serving to appreciate its nuances. The wooden case packaging also makes this bottle suitable as a gift or for orderly storage, bearing in mind that it is a 2007 vintage which may have developed some of its characteristics over time.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
