The La Pietra Chardonnay Toscana IGT 2022 in magnum format, presented in a wooden case, is offered by Tenute del Cabreo in collaboration with Folonari. It is a white wine based on Chardonnay labeled Toscana IGT: the magnum format suits storage and shared occasions, while the wooden case aids transport and presentation. Specific information on vinification and ageing is not provided on the label.

In the glass it shows a bright appearance; on the nose it offers fruity and floral nuances, with notes of white-fleshed fruit and white flowers atop a structure of good acidity that supports drinkability. On the palate it is balanced, medium-bodied with a restrained, mildly sapid finish; it pairs well with baked or stewed fish, white meats and fresh cheeses, and is also a suitable choice for refined aperitifs. Serve chilled to appreciate its freshness and sapidity.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
