The Langhe DOC Nebbiolo from Oddero is a wine that embodies all the elegance and complexity of Nebbiolo, the symbolic vine of the Langhe, a territory of rare beauty and oenological richness in the heart of Piedmont. This winery, with deep roots in tradition and an eye always turned towards innovation, produces a Nebbiolo that best expresses the characteristics of this noble and emotional vine.

The Nebbiolo grapes for this Langhe DOC come from carefully selected vineyards, where the position, sun exposure and soil composition allow for excellent quality bunches to be obtained. The winemaking follows the Oddero philosophy, which aims to enhance the varietal identity of Nebbiolo, maintaining a respectful approach towards the wine and the environment.

Visually, the Langhe Nebbiolo di Oddero has a garnet red color typical of Nebbiolo, tending towards orange with aging. On the nose, the wine offers an intense and complex aromatic bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry, enriched by floral nuances of rose and violet, together with touches of spices, leather and tobacco, a distinctive sign of maturation in wood which adds depth without overpowering the fruit.

In the mouth, the Nebbiolo di Oddero expresses extraordinary elegance, with finely woven tannins that blend into a velvety texture. The balance between acidity and body is impeccable, with a palate that brings back the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose, leading to a long and persistent finish, which leaves a pleasant sensation of freshness and complexity.

This wine pairs beautifully with Piedmontese dishes, such as agnolotti del plin, braised meats and red meats, as well as medium and long-aged cheeses. The Langhe DOC Nebbiolo from Oddero is also an excellent meditation wine, which invites reflection on the infinite nuances that Nebbiolo can express.

With its Langhe Nebbiolo, Oddero celebrates the richness and diversity of the Langhe territory, offering a wine that is testimony to the passion and dedication of generations of winemakers and oenologists, capable of transforming Nebbiolo into a high-quality tasting experience and deep emotionality.

Winery history
The Oddero family has been in La Morra since the 18th century; the modern estate dates from 1878, when the first Giacomo Oddero began bottling wines under the family name. In the 20th century, the management of Giacomo helped consolidate the estate’s reputation; today the business is run by the next generations, who maintain the family tradition while expanding the vineyards and production.
