Chateau Cana is the only Lebanese winery to use Sabbaghieh, a vine that owes its name to the word "sabgha" which means tint or stain; these are grapes with berries containing red pulp and juice given by the presence of anthocyanins, responsible for the greater percentage of tannins. The Sabbaghieh is a vine widely cultivated also in the gardens of the villagers. The refinement is carried out in used oak, for a minimum period of 6 months.
At sight it has an intense, deep and dense ruby red color. It delights the nose with its warm bouquet and a subtle spicy aftertaste. The sip is full-bodied, with balanced tannins.
It is recommended to combine it with red meats, lamb and pork, it is also perfect with strong cheeses such as Roquefort or other types of blue cheese.
