Le Due Sorelle Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG 2004 della Tenuta la Fuga - Folonari is a label that carries the specificity of the denomination and the indicated vintage. On the nose it presents an evolved and complex profile, with perceivable notes of ripe fruit, light spicy nuances and tertiary aromas consistent with a bottle of this age. The approach is measured: structure and acidity appear integrated, offering a balance that invites careful observation in the glass.

It pairs naturally with savory meat dishes, roasts and hard cheeses, but can also work with richer preparations featuring mushrooms or full-bodied sauces. Before serving it is advisable to open the bottle a little in advance or perform a short decantation to enhance its aromas. The packaging in a wooden case facilitates transport and short-term storage; for longer-term cellaring, follow appropriate cellar conditions.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
