Le Due Sorelle Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG 2018 from Tenuta la Fuga, offered by Folonari in magnum format and presented in a wooden case, is a wine that leans toward precision and concentration. On the nose it shows nuances of ripe red fruit, light earthy notes and a subtle spice element that does not overpower the overall picture. On the palate it reveals notable structure, well-defined tannins and a balanced acidity that keeps the sip lively, leading to a long, measured finish.

It is advisable to open the bottle in advance and, if desired, allow a short period of aeration before serving; the magnum format favors slower development over time. Recommended pairings include red meats, braised dishes and aged cheeses, as well as mushroom-based dishes or rich ragùs. The wooden case makes it suitable as a gift or for occasions where the bottle is the focus.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
