The Rosso IGP Basilicata "Lerà" presented by the renowned winery Terra dei Re is a wine that captures the essence of the unmistakable terroir of Basilicata.

The "Lerà" stands out for its intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections as it ages. On the nose, it offers a rich and persistent bouquet, with captivating notes of ripe berries, sweet spices, and a slight touch of vanilla, inherited from the light passage in barrique that further enriches its profile.

In the mouth, the wine is vigorous and balanced. The presence of ripe fruit continues to dominate the palate, accompanied by subtle hints of chocolate and leather, finishing with a long and pleasantly spicy finish.

An ideal wine to accompany robust dishes such as roasted red meat, game, and aged cheeses. Its structure and complexity also make it perfect to be enjoyed on its own, as a wine for contemplation.

This label from Terra dei Re reflects the passion and craftsmanship of winemaking in Basilicata. It is recommended to decant for at least an hour before serving to allow the wine to best express its qualities.

Winery history
The project began in the early 21st century at the initiative of the Rabasco and Leone families; the first harvests and winemaking date back to the early 2000s. Over the years the estate has developed vineyards in the prime contrade of Monte Vulture and introduced labels such as Divinus, Nocte and Vulcano 800. Since 2018/2019 it has collaborated with winemaker Riccardo Cotarella.
Production philosophy
Production oriented toward respect for the territory and sustainability: precision agriculture practices, emissions reduction, use of photovoltaic systems and rainwater harvesting, with the aim of minimizing the environmental impact of the bottles. The company also states that it was among the first in the wine sector to obtain the Friend of the Earth certification.
Terroir and vineyards
Operations take place on the slopes of Monte Vulture: volcanic soils, a strong diurnal temperature range and varying altitudes that favour the expression of Aglianico, Pinot Nero and white varieties. The winery is part of the DOC Aglianico del Vulture.
Awards and recognitions
The winery and its wines have received numerous national and international recognitions: examples include high scores and mentions in specialized guides, repeated "Tre Bicchieri" awards for the Aglianico "Nocte", as well as prizes for sparkling wines and other labels.
