Let’s talk about Limoncello dai Limoni del Capo 50cl - Caffo

More questions

The Limoncello dai Limoni del Capo di Caffo is a delightful artisanal digestif, crafted exclusively with Italian lemons ripened under the southern Italian sun. This liqueur shines with its clarity and characteristic bright yellow color, signs of the quality and freshness of the citrus used. On the nose, the Limoncello di Caffo exudes intense notes of fresh lemon, with a hint of zest that invites a first sip. On the palate, the sweetness is perfectly balanced by the lemon's acidity, creating a pleasant and refreshing equilibrium that lingers with a pleasantly aromatic finish.

The production follows traditional methods, where the lemons are hand-peeled to ensure that only the best part of the peel is used for the infusion. The result is a liqueur that captures the pure essence of lemon without any bitterness. Served cold, the Limoncello dai Limoni del Capo offers a revitalizing tasting experience and is ideal as the conclusion of a dinner or whenever a touch of freshness is desired. At 32% alcohol content, responsible tasting is recommended.

The story
Officially founded in 1915 by Giuseppe Caffo (originally from Santa Venerina, Sicily), the company developed over time and established its main headquarters and historic production site in Limbadi (Calabria). Over the years the group expanded its portfolio through acquisitions and relaunches of historic brands (including Elisir San Marzano Borsci, acquired and relaunched starting in 2013) and incorporated international brands such as Petrus (acquired in 2020). In recent years the group has continued its international expansion and strengthened its position in the amari and liqueurs segment.
Distillation
Distillation in company-owned plants: distillation of vinacce (grape pomace) for grappa and distillation of alcohol bases and botanical infusions for gin and liqueurs (processes managed internally by the company).
