The Lugana DOC Brolettino from Ca' dei Frati is a white wine hailing from the renowned winemaking region of Lombardy, specifically from the Lake Garda area. The bottle size is 375ml, perfect for an intimate meal for two or for a solo tasting to appreciate its quality without opening a larger bottle.

The Brolettino is produced exclusively with Trebbiano di Lugana grapes, a variety that finds ideal conditions in this region to fully express its potential. The vineyards from which these grapes come are cultivated in clay soils, which give the wine a distinctive structure and a marked minerality.

In terms of its organoleptic profile, Lugana DOC Brolettino displays a straw-yellow color with golden highlights. On the nose, the wine is rich and elegant, featuring notes of white-fleshed fruits, especially apple and pear, enriched with hints of almond and floral notes. Aging in oak barrels allows for the development of complexity and intensity, adding subtle traces of vanilla and sweet spices.

On the palate, the wine is balanced and full-bodied, maintaining a vibrant freshness that makes it pleasantly persistent. The acidity is balanced and integrates well with the fruitiness and woody notes, finishing with a long and pleasant aftertaste.

Lugana DOC Brolettino pairs perfectly with fish dishes, such as baked trout or seafood risotto, but it can also be an excellent companion for fresh cheeses and light appetizers. A wine that will enchant both the enthusiast seeking wines with specific terroirs and the novice eager to explore the uniqueness of the Lugana area.

Winery history
The estate is documented as far back as 1782, and its present course took shape when Felice Dal Cero moved to Lugana di Sirmione in 1939. The Dal Cero family progressively bottled and promoted Lugana; in 1969 Pietro Dal Cero took part in the establishment of the appellation by bottling its first label. Today the estate is managed by succeeding generations of the family, who carry on production and activities tied to the local area.
Production philosophy
Careful work in the vineyard and cellar, with separate vinifications for each vineyard to capture the different expressions of the terroir. The estate declares respect for the raw material, up-to-date techniques and carefully planned ageing to produce wines with integrity and longevity.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's main vineyards are concentrated in the Lugana di Sirmione area and around the tower of San Martino della Battaglia on Lake Garda; in the early 2000s the estate also acquired approximately 11 hectares in Valpolicella, where the Amarone 'Pietro Dal Cero' is produced.
