The Lugana DOC "I Frati" from Cà dei Frati stands as a true emblem of excellence in the production of the winery located near Lake Garda. This white wine is made exclusively from Trebbiano di Lugana grapes, carefully selected and hand-harvested in the early hours of the morning to ensure the freshness and integrity of the fruit.

The winemaking process involves fermentation in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature, followed by a period of maturation on fine lees for a few months, enriching the wine with complexity and structure. The result is a wine with a clear straw-yellow hue, with bright reflections that hint at its vibrancy.

On the nose, "I Frati" reveals an intriguing and elegant bouquet, dominated by notes of fresh citrus, green apple, and a delicate touch of almond. One can also perceive floral nuances and a slight mineral hint, a testament to the unique terroir from which the vines draw their nutrients.

On the palate, it presents a fresh and pleasantly acidic entry, balanced by a good structure. The aromatic persistence is remarkable, leaving a clean and refreshing sensation on the palate. This Lugana DOC is widely appreciated for its gastronomic versatility, ideal for pairing with light appetizers, fish dishes, or as an aperitif.

"I Frati" from Cà dei Frati is a wine that keeps a promise of quality and character, proudly representing the Lugana territory and the mastery of a historic winery like Cà dei Frati. It is a safe choice for those seeking a white wine capable of standing out, whether for a refined dinner or a pleasant moment of relaxation.

Winery history
The estate is documented as far back as 1782, and its present course took shape when Felice Dal Cero moved to Lugana di Sirmione in 1939. The Dal Cero family progressively bottled and promoted Lugana; in 1969 Pietro Dal Cero took part in the establishment of the appellation by bottling its first label. Today the estate is managed by succeeding generations of the family, who carry on production and activities tied to the local area.
Production philosophy
Careful work in the vineyard and cellar, with separate vinifications for each vineyard to capture the different expressions of the terroir. The estate declares respect for the raw material, up-to-date techniques and carefully planned ageing to produce wines with integrity and longevity.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's main vineyards are concentrated in the Lugana di Sirmione area and around the tower of San Martino della Battaglia on Lake Garda; in the early 2000s the estate also acquired approximately 11 hectares in Valpolicella, where the Amarone 'Pietro Dal Cero' is produced.
