Santi's Lugana DOC "Folar" is a white wine that captures the essence of the lower Lake Garda area, where the unique microclimate and mineral-rich soils create ideal conditions for high-quality viticulture. This wine is produced exclusively with Trebbiano di Lugana grapes, also known as Turbiana, which are carefully selected to ensure a pure and intense expression of the grape variety.

"Folar" by Santi stands out for its bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections, which anticipate the freshness and liveliness of the wine. On the nose, it offers a rich and complex bouquet, with notes of white pulp fruit, such as apple and pear, enriched by floral hints and a light minerality, which reflects the rich terroir of origin.

On the palate, Lugana "Folar" reveals itself to be balanced and harmonious, with a freshness well balanced by a soft structure. The minerality intertwines perfectly with the fruitiness, leading to a long and persistent finish, which leaves a pleasant sensation of cleanliness and invites another sip.

Ideal as an aperitif, this Lugana DOC is also an excellent companion for light appetizers, fish dishes, seafood and risottos. Its elegance and refinement also make it suitable for accompanying white meat dishes and fresh cheeses, enhancing the flavors without overwhelming them.

With "Folar", Santi celebrates the winemaking tradition and innovation of the Lugana area, offering a wine that is an authentic expression of a unique territory, capable of giving emotions and pleasure with every sip.

Winery history
Cantina Santi was founded as a winery in Illasi and has been present in Valpolicella since the 19th century. During the 20th century the Santi family introduced technical innovations and progressively focused on high-end wines; in 1974 the winery became part of Gruppo Italiano Vini, which reinforced investments and facilities while preserving its local identity.
Production philosophy
Santi claims a style tied to the sense of place of Valpolicella: it favors the predominant use of Corvina in its selections, aging in large traditional casks, and the use of local woods to enhance the aromatic qualities typical of native grape varieties. The approach combines oenological research with respect for local practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Santi's vineyards and selections are concentrated in Val d'Illasi and the classic areas of Valpolicella, using a vineyard-selection approach across different exposures and microclimates to produce wines that reflect the local terroir. The winery also works with vineyards in other Veronese appellations such as Soave, Bardolino and Lugana.
