This Madeira from the Historical Collection IV "The Globe" by H. M. Borges presents a character built on balance and concentration: the sip is rich but balanced by a vibrant acidity that maintains freshness. On the nose emerge candied citrus peels, toasted dried fruit and hints of caramel and honey; the oxidative profile is complex but not intrusive, lending depth and a pleasant sense of warmth. The structure is dense, with a soft tannic weave and a savory persistence that invites a second sip.

It lends itself to substantial end-of-meal finales or small tasting rituals: excellent with aged cheeses, cakes made with dried fruit and dark chocolate, or on its own as a wine for contemplation. Serve slightly chilled, in not-too-wide glasses, to appreciate the aromas without overwhelming their delicacy; once opened it retains its characteristics for several days if stored in a cool place and protected from oxygen.
