Marqués de Murrieta Rioja Reserva is an icon of Spanish viticulture, representing the excellence and tradition of the historic Rioja wine region. Produced by the renowned Marqués de Murrieta winery, founded in 1852 and considered one of the oldest and most prestigious in the region, this wine is a tribute to the vision and pioneering of the Marquis of Murrieta, who introduced Bordeaux winemaking techniques to Spain.

Rioja Reserva is the result of a careful selection of Tempranillo grapes, alongside Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha, coming from the best vineyards of the Ygay estate, located at altitudes ranging between 320 and 485 meters above sea level. This traditional blend is a testament to the richness and varietal diversity of Rioja, with each grape variety contributing to the complexity and balance of the wine.

After vinification, the Rioja Reserva matures for approximately 18 months in American oak barriques, followed by further refinement in the bottle. This process gives the wine its characteristic tannic structure, enriching it with aromatic nuances that range from ripe red fruits to sweet spices, from tobacco to balsamic notes, with an elegant touch of vanilla coming from the interaction with the wood.

Visually, the wine has a deep ruby red color, with garnet reflections that reveal its elegance and maturity. On the nose, it is complex and inviting, with a wide range of aromas that include notes of cherry, blackberry, leather, liquorice and a subtle hint of aromatic herbs, testifying to its evolution and richness.

In the mouth, the Marqués de Murrieta Rioja Reserva is rich and enveloping, with a perfect harmony between ripe fruit, balanced acidity and smooth tannins. The finish is long and persistent, leaving an impression of refined complexity and an invitation to further explore the depth of the wine.

Ideal in combination with robust dishes such as red meats, game and mature cheeses, this wine is also an excellent companion for conversations and moments of meditation. Marqués de Murrieta's Rioja Reserva is not just a wine, but an experience that celebrates the history, culture and art of Spanish winemaking, offering a sip of tradition with every glass.
