The Marsannay "Les Longeroies" from Domaine Bart represents a fascinating and robust example of Burgundy viticulture. Located on the outskirts of Dijon, Marsannay is the only village in the Côte de Nuits that offers red, white, and rosé wines, and Les Longeroies is a cru known for its red wines that balance intensity and finesse.

This wine is predominantly composed of Pinot Noir grapes, meticulously handpicked to ensure the fruit's integrity. The winemaking process adheres to traditional methods, including fermentation in open vats and extended maceration to enhance the tannic structure and aromatic depth.

From the glass, the Marsannay "Les Longeroies" releases a bouquet of complex aromas. Notes of black cherry, raspberry, and a delicate hint of violet are supported by a subtle vein of earthy spices and a light touch of vanilla, evidenced by maturation in French oak barrels. On the palate, the wine proves to be well-balanced with a texture of finely intertwined tannins leading to a long and persistent finish.

Recommended pairings include red meats, game, or aged cheeses. The Marsannay "Les Longeroies" from Domaine Bart reveals its fullness with proper decantation, allowing further appreciation of the complexity and refinement that characterize it.

A sublime example of Marsannay's ability to produce wines of notable character and longevity, this Pinot Noir is an excellent choice for Burgundy wine lovers, proving to be a treasure in one's cellar that will continue to evolve over the years.

Winery history
The domaine has been managed by several generations of the Bart family. The estate expanded in the 1980s thanks to an inheritance resulting from the division of the former Domaine Clair-Daü; Martin and Odile Bart have led the estate since the 1980s, and Pierre Bart represents the youngest generation involved in winemaking. Over time the holdings have grown to include numerous parcels in Marsannay and some vineyards in neighboring appellations and Grand Cru sites.
Production philosophy
Production focused on expressing the terroir: manual work in the vineyard, limited intervention in the cellar and sustainable/integrated cultivation practices are frequently mentioned in estate descriptions. The approach prioritises varietal purity and the representation of the individual lieux-dits of Marsannay.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Marsannay-la-Côte, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, the vineyard holdings consist mainly of parcels in Marsannay, along with plots in Fixin and Santenay and small holdings in the Grand Crus Bonnes-Mares and Chambertin-Clos-de-Bèze.
