Vistorta Merlot in Magnum format from the Vistorta Agricultural Company is a red wine that enhances the versatility and elegance of the Merlot grape, interpreted in the unique context of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. This wine is the result of the vision and passion of Azienda Agricola Vistorta, an estate that stands out for its dedication to the production of high quality wines, with careful respect for the terroir and the environment.

Located in a region known for its rich variety of microclimates and soils, the Vistorta Agricultural Company exploits these ideal conditions to cultivate Merlot, which here finds the expression of a distinctive character, combining the structure and complexity typical of the vine with a freshness and minerality that reflect the local terroir.

The Magnum format of Vistorta Merlot not only enhances the organoleptic qualities of the wine, allowing for slower and more harmonious aging, but also represents an opportunity to share special moments, thanks to the generosity and stage presence that this format offers.

Visually, Vistorta Merlot has an intense ruby red color, with reflections that tend towards garnet with evolution over time. On the nose, the wine exhibits a complex and seductive bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruit, such as cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of spices, chocolate and an elegant vegetal touch, which adds depth and refinement.

In the mouth, Vistorta's Merlot reveals a powerful but balanced structure, with soft and well-integrated tannins that give the wine a velvety texture. The acidity is balanced, supporting the flavors of ripe fruit and giving the wine a long aromatic persistence. The notes of toasting and vanilla, deriving from the aging in wood, intertwine harmoniously with the fruit, leading to a complex and satisfying finish.

Ideal in combination with rich and structured dishes, such as red meats, game and mature cheeses, Vistorta Merlot is also an excellent meditation wine, to be enjoyed slowly to appreciate its evolution and its richness of nuances.

In conclusion, Vistorta Merlot in Magnum format from the Vistorta Agricultural Company represents a high-level interpretation of Merlot, which combines the winemaking tradition of Friuli-Venezia Giulia with an innovative and sustainable approach to wine production, offering an experience rich and memorable tasting.

Winery history
Vistorta is a village estate run by the Brandolini family for generations. The transformation into a modern agricultural estate is credited to Guido Brandolini, who completed the estate buildings in 1872. In the years that followed the property was restored and, from the end of the 20th century, Brandino Brandolini relaunched wine production, focusing on a great Merlot and on wines of character.
Production philosophy
The estate combines landscape conservation and extensive farming with focused winemaking choices: careful vinification with particular attention to the Merlot grape and the gradual adoption of organic and soil-regenerating practices, while maintaining crop rotations and low-impact interventions.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in Sacile, Friuli Venezia Giulia, on predominantly clay-limestone soils in the plain at the foot of the Friulian foothills. The property covers over 200 hectares in total, with vineyards on separate parcels where Merlot finds its most representative expression.
