Montespinato is a Roero DOCG with good personality from Cascina Chicco: it shows a bright ruby color with slightly garnet hues and an aromatic profile that plays on compact red fruits and subtle floral notes. On the nose there are scents of cherry and raspberry, hints of rose and a light spiciness that adds depth without weighing it down. The overall impression is of elegance rather than power, with a fine texture that invites a sip.

On the palate it proves balanced, supported by good acidity that keeps the drink fresh and by well-rounded tannins: the body is medium, the persistence pleasant and the finish savory. It’s a versatile table wine, suitable to accompany light roasts, well-seasoned white meats, risottos and aged cheeses; if desired it can benefit from a short aeration before serving. Ideal for those seeking a Roero with character yet approachable, capable of expressing terroir without excess.
