Conti Zecca's Salento Rosso PGI "Nero" is a vibrant and profound expression of Puglia, a region famous for its abundant production of rich and intense wines. Conti Zecca, with a history that has its roots in centuries of winemaking tradition, celebrates with "Nero" the power and elegance of the native Salento vines, in particular Negroamaro, which in this wine is skilfully combined with other varieties to obtain a harmonious and complex blend.

"Nero" is the result of a careful selection of grapes, grown in the red and sunny lands of Salento, where the Mediterranean climate and clayey soils give the wines unique characteristics of fruitiness, body and warmth. This cuvée is designed to reflect the typical nature of the territory, enhancing the aromatic richness and structure of the vines used.

The vinification of Salento Rosso PGI "Nero" follows a careful process, aimed at preserving the varietal intensity of the grapes. After maceration at a controlled temperature to extract color and tannins, the wine is aged partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in oak barriques, to enrich it with complexity without overpowering the expressiveness of the fruit.

The wine has an intense, deep ruby red color, with violet hues that accentuate its youth. On the nose, "Nero" reveals a rich and enveloping bouquet, with dominant notes of ripe red and black fruits, such as blackberries, cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of spices, licorice and a touch of vanilla, witnesses of the refinement.

In the mouth, the wine expresses a notable concentration, with soft and ripe tannins that integrate perfectly with the structure and well-balanced acidity. The flavors of ripe fruit blend with spicy and balsamic notes, leading to a long and persistent finish, which invites reflection.

Ideal in combination with robust dishes of Mediterranean cuisine, such as baked pasta, roasts, grilled meats and mature cheeses, Salento Rosso PGI "Nero" by Conti Zecca is a wine that embodies the spirit and generosity of Southern Italy, offering a rich and satisfying tasting experience, capable of conquering demanding palates and lovers of intense and characteristic wines.
