This organic DOP Nero d'Avola-Merlot from Allumea shows a vivid ruby color and an immediate yet honest bouquet: ripe red and black fruit, cherry and plum, hints of sweet spice and a slight Mediterranean herbaceous note that adds freshness. The organic production is noticeable in the cleanliness of the aromatic profile; the nose remains clear without excess, suggesting a wine of balance rather than overpowering strength.

On the palate it confirms good substance and a balanced structure; the Merlot softens the tannins while the Nero d'Avola brings depth and a pleasant tannic contrast. The salinity supports the sip and provides a frank Mediterranean persistence, making it suitable for hearty but not heavy dishes. It pairs well with light roasts, rustic tomato sauces and semi-aged cheeses; serve at around 16-18°C and, if desired, open the bottle a little earlier to enhance its aromas. Clean and easy-drinking, it retains enough character to accompany everyday get-togethers and informal dinners.
