The Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG 2018 Torcalvano by Folonari is a red wine of character that expresses its identity with restraint. Deep in colour, it shows on the nose aromas reminiscent of ripe red fruits and subtle spicy hints, without excess. On the palate it presents good structure: tannins are present but well integrated, the saline texture supports the drinking experience and the finish has respectable persistence. Overall it offers a balance that invites tasting without exaggerated claims.

It pairs with meat dishes, roasts and aged cheeses, but can also accompany more rustic everyday preparations. Before serving it is advisable to bring it to a cool cellar temperature; those who prefer can decant it for better aroma release. It is an offering that reflects the producer's style and suits convivial moments, leaving room for personal discovery of its character.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
