The Nozzole Chianti Classico DOCG 2022 from Tenuta di Nozzole (Folonari) is a red wine that interprets the appellation with restraint. Visually it shows a medium ruby color; on the nose it offers a composite profile, with fruity impressions and spicy hints that remain balanced. At the estate attention to winery work aims to highlight freshness and the wine’s overall harmony. The label reflects a measured style from the producer, intended to be enjoyed relatively young.

On the palate it shows medium body, tannins that are present but well integrated and an acidity that supports the drinking; the finish is persistent without being intrusive. It pairs with meat dishes, cured meats and hard cheeses, and also suits dishes of medium structure. Serve around 16–18 °C. A short decanting can soften more compact profiles, and a tulip-shaped glass will enhance the aromas. A suggestion for those seeking an everyday Chianti Classico that offers versatility in the glass without excess.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
