Frantoio is the first monocultivar of the Avanzi company that comes from the pressing of only 100% "Frantoio" drupes.
Lake Garda is the motherland of one of the finest extra virgin olive oils in the world. In addition to the vineyards, the Avanzi estates cultivate more than 4000 olive trees, and have installed a modern, high-tech Alfa Laval oil mill.
The olives are harvested in mid-October and immediately pressed, this to best preserve all the particular peculiarities of this exquisite Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
On the nose there are hints of foliage, blended with notes of green apple and artichoke. The taste is decidedly fruity, with a light spicy note.
Excellent with all dishes, however, it excels when used to season soups, cooked vegetables and bruschetta, as well as being a real delight poured onto tasty and fragrant grilled meat dishes.
