Aprutino Pescarese DOP Extra Virgin Olive Oil, produced by the renowned Zaccagnini house, is a jewel of Italian agriculture, cultivated in the fertile lands of Abruzzo. This oil, contained in an elegant 500ml bottle, stands out for its superior quality and strict adherence to DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) regulations, which ensure its authenticity and traceability.

Zaccagnini oil is extracted from hand-picked olives, following sustainable farming techniques that respect the environment and preserve the integrity of the olives. The pressing takes place within a few hours of harvest, done cold, to keep all the aromas and organoleptic properties of the fruit intact.

The result is an oil with a bright green color and golden reflections, offering intense scents of fresh grass, artichoke, and notes of green almond on the nose. On the palate, it has a balanced and complex taste: an elegant initial bitterness is followed by a pleasant persistent spiciness that enhances the product’s qualities.

This extra virgin olive oil is ideal for enriching a wide range of dishes with a touch of class. It pairs perfectly with fresh salads, is excellent for seasoning cooked or grilled vegetables raw, and transforms simple toasted bread into a delicacy.

The Aprutino Pescarese DOP Extra Virgin Olive Oil by Zaccagnini is more than a condiment; it's an Italian excellence that brings the tradition and flavor of Abruzzo olives to your kitchen, celebrating the art of olive growing with every single drop.

Region: Abruzzo
Country: Italia
Founded: 1978
Grapes: Montepulciano, Pecorino, Trebbiano, Pinot Grigio, Passerina, Cabernet Franc
Iconic "Tralcetto" line with a vine sprig affixed to the bottle. Strong focus on Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and other native grape varieties. Managing approximately 300 hectares of vineyards in the hills of Pescara. Integration with the Argea Group Exhibition space and art collection at the winery, cultural activities initiated in the 1980s.
Winery history
The winery was established as a family-run business in Bolognano and over time has developed a strong territorial identity centered on native Abruzzo grape varieties and the emblematic "Tralcetto". The company website and promotional materials state that the modern history of the estate begins in 1978; documents from the Argea group cite an alternative date, so public sources disagree on the exact year of foundation. In 2023 Cantina Zaccagnini joined the Argea group; the estate is also known for having transformed its cellar spaces into a venue for art since the 1980s.
Production philosophy
Highlighting the Abruzzo region and its native grape varieties with an approach that blends tradition and modern techniques, the brand also conveys a strong artistic sensibility, presenting visual culture as an integral part of the wine experience.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the hills of Pescara in Abruzzo, in a territory that ranges from the Apennine Mountains to the Adriatic coast. The estate reports vineyards distributed across the Colli Pescaresi with microclimatic conditions moderated by mountain breezes.
