Pairing Red meats, aged cheeses
To the glass it shows a transparent ruby hue that announces elegance more than power. The nose offers a classic profile: ripe red fruits and rose petals at first impression, then earthy and spicy notes that intertwine with hints of light tobacco and liquorice.

On the palate the sip is measured, supported by lively acidity and fine tannins that define the structure without becoming harsh; the mid-palate is juicy and flowing, while the finish maintains a pleasant savoriness and a balanced persistence. This is a Barbaresco that combines immediacy with the ability to evolve in bottle, drinkable now after a short decanting but capable of gaining complexity with a few years of aging. It pairs naturally with simply prepared red meat dishes, braises and mushrooms, as well as aged cheeses; in Piedmontese tradition it also accompanies egg pasta and ragù. Serve around 16–18 °C to better appreciate its finesse and tension.

Winery history
Founded in 1950 (Faccenda family). Today run by brothers Enrico and Marco Faccenda; the estate owns about 50 hectares of vineyards and a holding of roughly 5 hectares in Monforte d'Alba.
Production philosophy
Balance of tradition and innovation, respect for the land and tailored winemaking: cryomaceration for whites, extended macerations for reds, ageing in large Slavonian casks and French barriques; ageing also carried out in an underground cellar.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards across Roero and the Langhe (Canale, Vezza d’Alba, Castellinaldo d’Alba, Barbaresco) with an estate in Monforte d’Alba; the Barolo «Rocche di Castelletto» is sourced from the Castelletto cru in Monforte, on clay-limestone soils at about 400 m asl.
