The Pignoletto DOC Frizzante Colle Belvedere by Umberto Cesari is a vibrant and refined expression of the Emilia-Romagna region. This sparkling wine stands out for its freshness and liveliness, offering a tasting experience that elegantly reflects the local winemaking tradition.

Produced from rigorously selected Pignoletto grapes, this label reveals a straw-yellow color with greenish highlights, accompanied by a delicate and persistent mousse. On the nose, the Pignoletto frizzante surprises with aromas of white-fleshed fruits like pear and green apple, with a floral undertone of white flowers and hints of aromatic herbs.

On the palate, freshness is the dominant trait, supported by balanced acidity and a subtle effervescence that completes the mouthfeel. Sensations of fresh fruit and a light minerality blend into a pleasantly harmonious and clean finish.

Ideal as an aperitif, the Pignoletto DOC Frizzante Colle Belvedere pairs magnificently with light snacks, seafood appetizers, and traditional Emilia cuisine. It’s also perfect for accompanying festive moments or simply for enjoying in good company.

The care in the production of this wine by Umberto Cesari, with temperature-controlled fermentation and maturation that respects the timing of the Pignoletto, guarantees consistent quality and an authentically representative tasting experience of the region's typicality and character.

Winery history
The winery was founded in the 1960s when founder Umberto Cesari purchased his first vineyards on the hills of Castel San Pietro Terme. From that initial core the company expanded, developing multiple estates and a modern cellar, promoting Sangiovese and the region's native grape varieties both nationally and internationally.
Production philosophy
It combines respect for local tradition and native grape varieties with the adoption of precision technologies in the vineyard and the winery. Its stated aim is to enhance the terroir through selection of vineyard parcels, experimentation and attention to quality.
Terroir and vineyards
The properties and vineyards are located on the hills between Imola and Castel San Pietro Terme. The company manages numerous cru and plots with different exposures — some of the named vineyards include Ca' Grande, Casetta, Claterna, Laurento, Liano, Tauleto, Miravalle and others — where Sangiovese, Albana and international varieties are grown depending on the site.
