Elena Walch's Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC offers a clean, immediate aromatic profile with notes of green apple, pear and white flowers, accompanied by subtle citrus hints and restrained minerality. On the nose it avoids showiness and instead presents an aromatic clarity that reflects the grape variety and the region of origin. On the palate it is pleasant and balanced: fresh acidity, a saline texture and medium body, with an equilibrium that invites sipping without excess, showing fruity returns and a fine saline finish.

It pairs easily with fish dishes, shellfish, light antipasti, vegetable salads, delicate poultry and soft cheeses. Ideal as an aperitif wine for those seeking freshness and gustatory clarity. Serve chilled, around 8–10 °C; consumption recommended young to appreciate its liveliness, rather than waiting for undocumented developments. A label suited to those who favor clean, versatile drinking occasions.

Winery history
Trained as an architect, Elena Walch raised the international profile of her family estate by modernising vineyard and cellar practices and emphasising single-vineyard expression. In recent years leadership has been progressively assumed by her daughters Julia and Karoline (fifth generation).
Production philosophy
Strongly terroir-driven approach: emphasis on single 'Vigna' sites, manual vineyard work, sustainability-oriented practices and careful cellar ageing (e.g. French barriques and extended bottle ageing).
Terroir and vineyards
Estate and vineyards located in Alto Adige/Südtirol (Termeno/Tramin, Caldaro). Calcareous and varied soils; climate combining summer warmth with cool Dolomite winds. The producer cites Vigna Castel Ringberg as a single vineyard of about 20 hectares; Vigna Kastelaz is a steep terraced site above Tramin.
