The Pinot Bianco DOC Barthenau Vigna San Michele from Tenuta J Hofstatter shows a bright straw-yellow color with slight green reflections. On the nose it is restrained and modestly complex: notes of white flowers, Golden apple and pear, with light hints of aromatic herbs and fresh almond. On the palate it is linear, with balanced acidity and a saline sensation that supports the fruit; the finish is clean and reasonably persistent, without excess.

Produced carefully by the Tenuta J Hofstatter winery, it is intended for relatively young consumption but also pairs well with simple dishes. It goes well with light appetizers, mildly seasoned fish dishes, white meats and fresh cheeses. Serve chilled, around 8–10 °C, in a white wine glass to appreciate its aromas and freshness. Store in a cool, dry place; open shortly before serving to preserve the aromas.
