Maculan's Pinot Noir IGT Veneto is an expression of the Pinot Noir grape that reflects the craftsmanship and attention to detail of this renowned Venetian winery. Maculan, located in the heart of Breganze, a wine-growing area of the Veneto known for the production of quality wines, stands out for its ability to combine tradition and innovation, creating wines that express the richness and complexity of their terroir.

Pinot Noir, an international grape variety famous for its elegance and finesse, finds a favorable environment in the Veneto, where the temperate climate and varied soils allow for the production of wines of great expressiveness and character. Maculan interprets this vine with an approach that aims to enhance its peculiarities, through careful viticultural practices and precise vinification, which allow the aromatic integrity and freshness of the fruit to be preserved.

Maculan's Pinot Nero IGT Veneto is vinified with the aim of maintaining the typical elegance of the vine, with controlled temperature fermentation followed by a short aging in wood, which helps to enrich the wine with subtle aromatic nuances, without overpowering the notes varietals.

At sight, the wine has a delicate ruby red color, with garnet nuances that demonstrate its elegance. On the nose, it offers a complex and inviting bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and wild strawberries, enriched by touches of sweet spices, undergrowth and a light hint of vanilla, the result of the balanced passage in barrique.

In the mouth, Maculan Pinot Noir reveals a medium structure, with fine tannins and a well-balanced acidity that supports its freshness and harmony. The flavors of red fruit intertwine with earthy and spicy notes, in an elegant and persistent whole, which culminates in a long and pleasantly aromatic finish.

This wine is versatile in pairings, capable of accompanying white and red meat dishes, mushroom dishes and medium-aged cheeses. Maculan's Pinot Nero IGT Veneto is also an excellent meditation wine, which invites you to discover its many aromatic and gustatory facets.

In conclusion, Maculan's Pinot Nero IGT Veneto is a wine that tells of the winery's passion for quality viticulture and its ability to masterfully interpret international vines, offering a tasting experience that combines elegance, complexity and territorial typicality.

Winery history
The winery originated from the Maculan family's winemaking activities in Breganze. The current estate was developed from the business founded by grandfather Giovanni Maculan in 1947. In the 1970s Fausto Maculan led a qualitative transformation of the estate, elevating local wines such as Torcolato and expanding the portfolio with modern expressions of red and white wines. Today management also involves his daughters, continuing a path that combines local tradition with winemaking innovation.

The estate emphasizes the identity of Breganze grapes while also using international varieties for a wide range of wine styles.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the DOC Breganze area, on the hills at the foot of the Altopiano di Asiago. The area is characterized by microclimates favorable to ripening and by hillside aspects that influence production, particularly of passito wines made from Vespaiola.
