Pairing Red meats, aged cheeses
Primo Rosso Isola dei Nuraghi IGT di Mesa expresses itself with immediacy and honesty: compact red fruits, a streak of ripe cherry and light Mediterranean nuances alternate with a spicy touch and faint earthy notes. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with tannins that are present but smoothed out and a pleasant sapidity that drives the sip forward; freshness balances the warmth, creating a smooth, grounded progression with enough persistence to leave an enveloping but not heavy sensation. There is also a subtle floral note that emerges with time in the glass, enriching the simplicity of the profile.

A convivial wine for the everyday table, it finds natural harmony with ragù pasta, grilled meats, hearty soups and medium-aged cheeses; it also pairs well with Mediterranean dishes thanks to its herbal undertone. Serve slightly chilled to emphasize its liveliness, preferably in wide glasses that encourage aromatic opening. Suitable also for those looking for an everyday red to open without much waiting, it remains interesting even with mildly spiced dishes. An immediate and sincere red, designed to be enjoyed with pleasure and without pretension.

Winery history
Masi's history is rooted in Valpolicella Classica. A historic family-owned estate, it has developed and enhanced the wines from dried grapes typical of the region. During the 20th century the company helped popularize practices such as ripasso and launched oenological research and experimentation to refine the appassimento technique and the quality of its Amarone and its high-end bottlings.
Production philosophy
It combines respect for local traditions and indigenous grape varieties with research and innovation in winemaking and in the appassimento process. The approach aims to express the Valpolicella territory through careful grape selection, the practice of appassimento and targeted oenological experimentation focused on quality improvement.
Terroir and vineyards
It operates mainly in the Valpolicella Classica, in the province of Verona. The wines are closely linked to the local grape varieties and the area's traditional practices, particularly to typical wines such as Amarone, Recioto and Valpolicella Ripasso.
