Ramnista di Kir Yianni è un vino rosso di grande eleganza e personalità, prodotto nel cuore della Grecia, nella regione vinicola di Naoussa. Realizzato esclusivamente con uve Xinomavro, un vitigno autoctono greco noto per la sua complessità e capacità di invecchiamento, questo vino si distingue per il suo carattere deciso e raffinato.

Alla vista, il Ramnista si presenta con un colore rosso rubino intenso, arricchito da sfumature granate che evidenziano la sua maturità e longevità. Al naso, regala un bouquet complesso e intrigante, dominato da note di frutti rossi maturi come ciliegie e prugne, accompagnate da sentori terrosi e spezie come la liquirizia e il pepe nero. Si percepiscono anche eleganti sfumature di legno, derivanti dall'affinamento in botti di rovere.

Al palato, il Ramnista è corposo e ben strutturato, con tannini robusti ma vellutati che armoniosamente bilanciano l'acidità vibrante del Xinomavro. Il finale è lungo e persistente, con un retrogusto di frutta rossa e spezie che invita ad un altro assaggio.

Questo vino si presta magnificamente a essere abbinato con piatti di carne rossa, come arrosti e stufati, o con formaggi stagionati e salumi. È consigliabile decantarlo prima del servizio per apprezzare appieno la sua complessità aromatica e gustativa. Winery history
Kir‑Yianni was founded as an independent project led by Yiannis Boutaris in 1997, starting from historic vineyards around Yianakohori and later in Amyndeon. Management has remained family-run: the second generation expanded research into Xinomavro, modernized the facilities and developed exports, making the winery a reference for Greek wine in international markets.
Production philosophy
It combines respect for local tradition with modern winemaking practices and experimentation with parcels and varieties, aiming to produce distinctive regional wines and achieve global distribution.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards and wineries located in two main areas of northern Greece: Naoussa and the plain/plateau of Amyndeon. The parcels span a variety of exposures and soils typical of the two regions, with production aimed at enhancing the local terroir.
