Zeni’s Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG Classico comes from the classic Valpolicella area in the hills north of Verona. It is made from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes. The finest bunches from hillside vineyards are hand-selected and then dried for around three months. This traditional process encourages the natural concentration of sugars, extracts, aromas and glycerine.

Traditional skin fermentation with slow maceration is stopped while the must is still sweet. The wine is aged in 50-hectolitre oak barrels and then rested in stainless-steel tanks. It has a ruby-red colour and an intense bouquet with fruity and floral notes. The palate is pleasantly sweet, fresh and velvety. Serve at 15-16 °C. It is especially well suited to desserts, cakes and pastries. The 375 ml bottle is an elegant choice for a special tasting occasion or for enjoying a refined Italian dessert wine.

Winery history
The winery originated in the village of Grumo and is historically linked to the Zeni family; the company's website states that the winery was founded by Roberto Zeni in 1882. Production and management have been passed down through several generations of the family, and over the years the winery expanded its operations to include traditional-method sparkling wines and an artisan distillery. In the 2000s the winery began a shift toward more natural practices and a gradual conversion to organic viticulture.
Production philosophy
A commitment to sustainable agricultural practices and respect for the land, combined with a family tradition: the winery aims to showcase indigenous grape varieties and organic practices to produce wines expressive of the terroir, while maintaining carefully managed ageing techniques.
Terroir and vineyards
Based in the Piana Rotaliana and colline avisane. The vineyards include both the alluvial plain of the Noce/Adige and slopes with Dolomitic soils. Among the crus is Maso Nero, which is also used for sparkling wine production and aging.
Awards and recognitions
The winery and its wines have been featured in competitions and guides; the winery's website lists awards and press mentions.
