Bastianich's Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso DOC is an authentic and vibrant expression of one of the most distinctive native grape varieties of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The Bastianich family, known for its passion and dedication to enhancing local vines through sustainable viticultural practices and careful winemaking, produces this wine with the aim of enhancing its unique varietal characteristics and strong connection with the territory.

Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is appreciated for its structure, its complex aromatic profile and its lively acidity, which make it suitable for both young consumption and aging. The grapes for this wine come from vineyards located in the most suitable areas of Friuli, where the cool and ventilated microclimate, together with the soils rich in minerals, favor the optimal maturation of the grapes, allowing the production of wines of great expressiveness and character.

The vinification of Bastianich's Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso follows a traditional approach, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit. This is followed by a period of maturation in oak barrels, which gives the wine greater complexity and harmonises the tannins, without overpowering the vibrant varietal notes.

Visually, the wine has an intense ruby red color, with purple hues that testify to its youth. On the nose, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso offers a rich bouquet of aromas, with dominant notes of red and black fruits, such as blackberries and currants, enriched by nuances of aromatic herbs, violets and a light spicy touch, which reflect the complexity of the vine.

In the mouth, the wine surprises with its structure and the balance between soft tannins and lively acidity, which give it freshness and drinkability. Ripe fruit flavors intertwine with earthy and spicy accents, leading to a long and persistent finish, with a pleasant mineral streak.

Ideal in combination with regional Friulian cuisine, red meats, game and mature cheeses, Bastianich's Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso DOC is also an excellent meditation wine, which invites you to discover the deep cultural and oenological roots of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, offering a tasting experience that combines intensity, elegance and authenticity.
