The Veneto IGT "Brentino" in Magnum format by Maculan is a red wine that represents the excellence and winemaking tradition of the Maculan family, known for its ability to create high quality wines in the Veneto region. This wine is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, two international vines that find the ideal terroir to best express themselves in the Venetian lands, giving life to a wine with a strong character and a balanced structure.

The vinification of "Brentino" follows a careful and scrupulous process, with controlled temperature fermentation to preserve the varietal aromas and adequate maceration to extract color and tannins. The refinement in oak barrels allows the wine to acquire complexity and harmony, enriching the taste profile with notes of spices and vanilla that integrate perfectly with the fruit.

The Magnum format, equivalent to two standard bottles, not only emphasizes the generosity and sharing typical of wine culture, but also offers better evolution over time, allowing "Brentino" to develop further nuances and complexity.

Visually, "Brentino" has an intense and deep ruby red color. On the nose, the bouquet is rich and inviting, with dominant notes of ripe red and black fruits, such as cherries, blackberries and plums, enriched by accents of sweet spices, chocolate and a subtle touch of vanilla and tobacco, witnesses of the elegant transition into wood.

In the mouth, the wine reveals a robust structure, supported by soft and well-integrated tannins, which give the "Brentino" a pleasant softness. The balance between acidity and body is impeccable, leading towards a long and persistent finish, with an aftertaste that recalls the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose.

Ideal in combination with red meat dishes, roasts, game and mature cheeses, the Veneto IGT "Brentino" in Magnum format by Maculan is an excellent choice for lovers of structured and complex red wines, who are looking for a tasting experience capable of uniting intensity, elegance and typical Venetian hospitality.

Winery history
The winery originated from the Maculan family's winemaking activities in Breganze. The current estate was developed from the business founded by grandfather Giovanni Maculan in 1947. In the 1970s Fausto Maculan led a qualitative transformation of the estate, elevating local wines such as Torcolato and expanding the portfolio with modern expressions of red and white wines. Today management also involves his daughters, continuing a path that combines local tradition with winemaking innovation.
Production philosophy
The winemaking approach combines respect for the territory with experimentation: meticulous care in the vineyard and the cellar, revival of local traditions and attention to modern techniques. The estate emphasizes the identity of Breganze grapes while also using international varieties for a wide range of wine styles.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the DOC Breganze area, on the hills at the foot of the Altopiano di Asiago. The area is characterized by microclimates favorable to ripening and by hillside aspects that influence production, particularly of passito wines made from Vespaiola.
