With a moderate alcohol content, it is pleasantly enjoyed exhibiting notes of green apple, peach, and a delicate hint of lemon.

On the nose, Riesling Trocken reveals a complex bouquet, with hints of white flowers and mineral nuances reminiscent of the region’s typical slate stone. On the palate, its acidity is well balanced by crisp fruit, leading to a clean and persistent finish that invites another sip.

This wine pairs perfectly with light fish dishes, spicy Asian cuisine, or as a refreshing aperitif. Its versatility makes it ideal for various occasions, from casual dinners with friends to more formal events. Weingut Dr. Thanisch is known for respecting winemaking traditions and using modern techniques that enhance the quality of native grapes, thus ensuring wines of exceptional purity and character.

Villa Thanisch, the estate’s headquarters, was built in 1884. The brand consolidated its reputation between the 19th and 20th centuries, with wines featured on restaurant wine lists and in royal households; the historic relationship with the great local vineyards, in particular Berncasteler Doctor, is a central part of the estate’s story.
