The Romagna Sangiovese DOC Superiore "Ceregio" from Fattoria Zerbina is a wine that expresses the excellence of the Romagna region through the careful and respectful use of the Sangiovese grape variety. The Fattoria Zerbina winery, known for its passion and dedication to quality, has produced this wine distinguished by its sophisticated structure and unique organoleptic characteristics.

On the nose, the "Ceregio" offers an intriguing bouquet with notes of ripe wild berries, particularly blackberries and cherries, enriched by hints of sweet spices and a light touch of vanilla, resulting from maturation in wood. The winemaking process is meticulously controlled to maintain the integrity of the fruit and ensure the wine reflects the authenticity of its terroir.

On the palate, the wine is vigorous yet balanced, with good acidity that perfectly complements a well-present tannin presence, never invasive. This harmony creates a complex palate that invites a second sip. The finish is persistent and leaves an elegant aftertaste that recalls the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose.

The Romagna Sangiovese DOC Superiore "Ceregio" is an excellent choice to accompany traditional Italian dishes, such as pasta with ragù or roasted meats. It is also surprisingly versatile, pairing well with medium-aged cheeses.

Given its character and structure, this wine can be enjoyed immediately but also offers good aging potential. When stored in a proper cellar, the "Ceregio" from Fattoria Zerbina can evolve beautifully over the coming years, developing additional nuances of taste and complexity.

Winery history
The origins of Fattoria Zerbina are rooted in the hills of Marzeno. Winemaking began when Vincenzo Geminiani purchased the land and planted the first vines. In the years that followed, family stewardship and a commitment to quality, under the leadership of Cristina Geminiani, brought the estate growing recognition on the regional and national wine scene.
Production philosophy
An approach that combines respect for tradition with research: careful vineyard management, focused winemaking and a commitment to quality without shortcuts. The estate aims to express the character of the terroir through structured wines, reserve bottlings and premium passito wines.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the hills of Marzeno, on the lower slopes of the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines, mainly on hillside soils planted to alberello training. The setting offers exposures and soils that are interpreted through winemaking tied to each individual cru.
