The Ronchedone by Ca' dei Frati is a deeply aromatic and intense red wine that captures the essence of the Lombardy region, specifically from the picturesque area of Lake Garda. This 375ml bottle is ideal for those who wish to experience a wine of great character without opening a full bottle.

Made primarily from Marzemino, Sangiovese, and Cabernet grapes, the Ronchedone is known for its vibrant ruby red color with violet hues. On the nose, it offers a rich and complex bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, enriched by spicy and vanilla touches resulting from aging in barriques.

On the palate, Ronchedone surprises with its robustness and structure. The fruity sensations blend harmoniously with notes of chocolate and coffee, highlighting a perfect ripeness of the grapes and a skillful use of wood. The well-balanced acidity and soft tannins lead to a long and persistent finish, a sign of a high-quality wine.

Ideal for pairing with red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses, the Ronchedone shows its best at a serving temperature of about 16-18°C. It is a wine that can be enjoyed now but also has good aging potential.

The attention to detail and passion for winemaking of Ca' dei Frati is reflected in every sip of this exemplar, making it appreciated by both connoisseurs and those approaching the world of rich and structured red wines for the first time.

The Dal Cero family progressively bottled and promoted Lugana; in 1969 Pietro Dal Cero took part in the establishment of the appellation by bottling its first label. Today the estate is managed by succeeding generations of the family, who carry on production and activities tied to the local area.
Production philosophy
Careful work in the vineyard and cellar, with separate vinifications for each vineyard to capture the different expressions of the terroir. The estate declares respect for the raw material, up-to-date techniques and carefully planned ageing to produce wines with integrity and longevity.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's main vineyards are concentrated in the Lugana di Sirmione area and around the tower of San Martino della Battaglia on Lake Garda; in the early 2000s the estate also acquired approximately 11 hectares in Valpolicella, where the Amarone 'Pietro Dal Cero' is produced.
