Rosé IGT di Brancaia is born in the picturesque Chianti region, in Tuscany, where the Mediterranean climate and clay-limestone soils give the grape varieties a distinctive character. This wine is the result of a careful selection of Sangiovese grapes, accompanied by other typical local varieties, which express freshness and vibrant acidity. The aging takes place in steel to preserve the aromatic purity and the liveliness of the fruit.

In the glass, it shows a pale and bright pink color, while on the nose it evokes delicate scents of strawberry, cherry, and spring flowers. On the palate, it is balanced, fresh, and harmonious, with a light mineral note that emphasizes its complexity. Ideal as an aperitif or paired with fish dishes, salads, and light white meats, this Rosé embodies the elegance and brightness of the Tuscan territory.

Region: Toscana
Country: Italia
Founded: 1981
Grapes: Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
Three estates expressing distinct terroirs: Castellina, Radda and la Maremma. Producer with a diverse range: organic wines, extra virgin olive oil, grappa and gin. Signature wine "Il Blu" and the founders' historic square logo. Winery with facilities for tours, an osteria, and a bar in Castellina.
Winery history
The estate began when the Widmer family purchased the Brancaia hill in the 1980s: from a first podere in Castellina/Poppi it grew into an operation with several estates and iconic wines such as Il Blu, whose square logo was created in the late 1980s. In subsequent years the winery expanded its holdings to include plots in Chianti Classico and Maremma.
Production philosophy
A pursuit of harmony, elegance and authenticity combined with a strong commitment to respecting nature: the company website indicates that the wines are produced with an organic approach and with attention to the land and sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards and facilities are primarily located in Chianti Classico and along the coast of the Tuscan Maremma; the administrative headquarters and the winery are in Radda in Chianti.
Awards and recognitions
The Chianti Classico wine has received recognition in specialized tastings; in particular, the company’s history records a success in a blind tasting for the 1983 vintage, and "Il Blu" is mentioned positively by international critics.
