The Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2022 by Castello Banfi is born in the heart of Tuscany, in one of Italy's most renowned areas for Sangiovese, an indigenous grape and the undisputed protagonist of this wine. The 2022 harvest produced flavorful and well-ripened grapes, grown on clay-limestone soils that impart minerality and freshness to the wine. The aging, mainly in steel with a short passage in wood, preserves its brilliance and youthfulness, allowing the fragrant expression of aromas of small red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, accompanied by delicate floral and spicy notes. On the palate, it is balanced, with soft tannins and a pleasant freshness, ideal to enjoy young. Perfect paired with rustic first courses, white meats, and medium-aged cheeses, this Rosso di Montalcino elegantly embodies the authentic character of the territory.
