Family and Friends Rosso by Feudo Maccari is a Terre Siciliane IGT red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The blend contains 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Syrah, combining an international style with a strong Sicilian character. It has an intense ruby-red colour in the glass. Its bouquet reveals aromas of ripe fruit, spices and toasted notes.
Vinification involves temperature-controlled fermentation and maceration for 18 days. The wine then matures for 16 months in small oak barrels before ageing for a further 6 months in bottle. On the palate, it is warm and enveloping, with good structure, fine tannins and excellent persistence. This red wine is well suited to pairing with fine meats, noble game and braised red meats.
