Tua Rita – Winery in Toscana

Discover the story and wines of Tua Rita.

A Suvereto (Tuscany)-based winery known for high-quality red wines, particularly the Merlot "Redigaffi" and its expressions of Syrah and Bordeaux-style blends.
Region: Toscana
Country: Italia
Founded: 1984
Grapes: Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, Ansonica, Vermentino, Traminer, Riesling
Redigaffi: a single-varietal Merlot considered an iconic wine of the estate. Giusto dei Notri: the Bordeaux-style blend considered one of the flagship wines. Per Sempre and Keir: notable interpretations of Syrah. Vineyards in Alta Maremma, Colline Metallifere. International recognition and consistent presence in guides and reviews.
Winery history
The estate was established when Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti purchased the property in Notri. Originally a family farming project, the estate gradually developed—planting international varieties and beginning to bottle in the early 1990s—and earned international recognition that prompted the winery to expand both its vineyards and its range of labels.
Production philosophy
Artisanal vineyard care and an uncompromising pursuit of quality: attention is focused on the precise management of the crus, grape selection and winemaking techniques aimed at expressing the terroir of the metalliferous hills of Alta Maremma.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in Suvereto, in the Alta Maremma/Val di Cornia area, on soils with a clay component and rocky content that contribute mineral notes and salinity to the wines.
Awards and recognitions
International critical recognition, including the celebrated 100-point score awarded to Redigaffi and numerous high scores from wine publications.
